As some of you know, Trudy is translating a diary she wrote in Holland during her days as a young lady. Reading it you might learn a lot about her, who she was, how she re-acted to stress and how she thinks. But as her husband 0f 45 plus years I have one comment: No diary will ever replace the intimate loving relationship with the real person! Why do I make this point?
This diary is somewhat like the Bible. You can learn a lot about God and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit from what you read in the Bible. But if you fail to gain a personal intimate relationship with God, you have missed the point. It is good to study the Bible but note this: God sent you the Holy spirit to guide you in all truth! The Holy Spirit will give you the revelation of Christ. Yes, that is in the Bible.
