COMPUTER HEALTH

COMPUTER HEALTH

What are you doing to make sure your computer runs at maximun efficiency? I am not a highly skilled computer geek, and I need all the help I can get. If you are in the same boat you may be interested in some of the FREE programs I use.

First:For VIRUS protection I use AVG; it is free and works great.
Second: For spyware I run (free) ADAWARE at least once a week.
Third: I run (free) CCLEANER once in a while to get rid of unused files and speed up the computer.
Fourth: I run CHKDSK (Checkdisk) to repair corrupted commands and files. This program is already in your computer!

All these programs are FREE and able to solve most problems. I know there are many FREE programs to protect your computer and maybe we can discuss some more later. For those who are not highly skilled in computer stuff the above is a start.

WHAT ARE YOU USING??

JoAnn,
Google for: Ccleaner download no toolbar. Select from google, for instance the "WWW.Majorgeeks.com", or any other site that says "NO TOOLBAR"
Majorgeeks have a mirror site in France. It is easy, good Luck, Ted

Hi Theo,
I've got another tip against virusses: Just read your email by the homepage of your provider. (I can...) this way you can trow-away the SPAM emails....

Good idea ? JoAnn with love XXXX
