So, after a beautiful summer evening (see previous post), at about one o'clock during the night a severe thunderstorm passed over Winnipeg. It came with hail, an inch in diameter, which destroyed most of the flowers as well as a few trees in the neighbourhood.
It was the noisiest storm I have ever seen with hail driven at gusts of 100 km (60 miles) per hour. It was slamming into our windows and doors. Not to mention the car, now covered with tiny dents. Fortunately the shingles in the street were not off our roof! At least as far as I can see.........
