It is the time of year that the Canada Geese gather, prior to taking off south. It is not often, however they gather right behind our house.
Can you eat these birds, are they like turkeys? Also, is it legal to hunt them here in Manitoba?
They seem to be very tame, and well at home among people.

Hmmm I would not want to hunt- nor eat them, unless they are prepared, I hate chicken/turkey bones... They are very pretty Theo:)Beautiful to see them.

I'm sure they are tasty . . . like any bird . . . they are most likely protected . . . besides, they can't be shot in the city.
