Attending the funeral of Trudy's brother Dirk, we stayed with Peter and Nelly Kauss, in Rockwood. They have a beautiful house there, easily recognized by the front yard which is tastefully planted as a garden instead of the regular lawn.
Moving to the backyard, more plants as well as a miniature railroad. And plenty of room for the two bearded collies. The picture shows Peter, Nelly and son Derek, who flew in from BC for the occasion. Emily missed this particular photo session.

The funeral service itself was a mixture of sadness, faith and joy. The pastor conducted the service with the emphasis on our Christian Hope. Geoff and Trudy brought the tributes to Dirk's life, remembering highlights of the past.
We say once again goodbye to Dirk, we will see you again in eternity. God's strength for Willy in the lonely days ahead, and thank you to Peter and Nelly.
