WIND SHEAR
Truus and I attended her Brothers funeral in Oshawa, Ontario. We flew back to Winnipeg with Westjet. I must say that compared to other airlines we have used from time tot time, Westjet has the best overall service. The flight proceeeded smoothly until we started our descent into Winnipeg. The pilot warned us about some "turbulance" ahead, so no big deal, right?

Wrong! The next few minutes it seemed we were hitting the potholes on Winnipeg streets. At times you could feel a falling sensation and passengers were screaming! Then the left wing tilted up, the right wing down with a 45 degree angle and we slipped sideways. We must have fallen several hundred feet and people were screaming at the top of their voice!!
The pilot regained control and his voice came over the intercom: we hit turbulence associated with the jet stream, we study the weathermaps and this was not reported on weathermaps or on radar. When we landed safely some time lated the pilot was still explaining and apologising. Ok it was not his fault, it was just one of those things. But it makes you check on your relationship with God.
